With an increasing focus every year on energy preservation, each project must achieve minimal energy certificate ratings. Back in the early 2000’s the minimum energy requirements for a new home were 5 stars; today, we are targeting 7-star energy ratings on a new home building in South Australia.

Elevations of new home buildings have seen the land slope to the rear, meaning conventional methods of removing sewer and stormwater from a site are not possible. We are introducing pumping chambers that move the liquids into the SA Water sewer systems and the water table via pumping chambers in the ground.

Retaining walls have become more popular as people choose to build on sloping blocks of land. All these items do increase the cost of the building project, but land is becoming harder to find near the CBD, so the investment in higher build costs can allow for closer living to the city.
